A Man and a woman participating in a radio show

Interview and Informational Videos

Many thanks to Broadcasting Hall of Famer Erin Davis (formerly CHFI Toronto) for agreeing to talk to my students about her career, including all the highs and lows.  A wonderful and engaging personality who isn't concerned about her legendary status!

Orlena Cain (formerly MIX 97 Belleville) talked to my students about her career ... it it turned into a wonderful conversation about communication and it's importance on a personal level.

Chris Pottage (Rogers Toronto/Kitchener) is a wonderful resource.  He has definite opinions on what should and shouldn't go into a good production, and how he's always learning, and always looking for new talent.

Simon Paine and I have been tangentially connected for decades through his wife Lana (my coworker).  He started out doing on location sound not knowing anything, and rose up the ranks to being part of an Emmy winning audio team!  Credits include Survivor, Amazing Race, and Heavy Rescue 401, and interesting points on entrepreneurship.

Sandra Plagakis and I worked together at KISS Ottawa.  She is the definition of an outgoing personality and a dear friend.  The conversation was how her role has changed behind the scenes, as well as how she's had the chance to work in podcasting, and how cameras in the studio have changed her life.

Mike Darrach is the Image Producer for the Rogers Rock Radio network.  This is a terrific conversation about creativity in production, as well as our long going discussion/arguement about what is better: Pro Tools vs Audition!

These videos were created for my students during Covid when guest speakers were not allowed on campus, opening up to who could talk about industry experiences!
